Overview
The notification center helps you stay up to date with your learning journey without leaving Forge. All your important updates and alerts are gathered in one place, directly within the web interface.
Accessing your notifications
- Find the bell icon in the Forge top bar (available on both desktop and mobile web).
- A badge shows the number of unread notifications.
- Click the bell to open the notification center and review your updates.
Types of notifications
The notification center informs you about events related to your learning, for example:
- When a coach is ready to use.
- When you are enrolled in a coach or a program.
- Various updates and alerts about your activity on Forge.
Each notification shows the workspace it belongs to — handy if you are a member of several workspaces.
Managing your notifications
- Open — Click a notification to go straight to the related item (coach, activity, etc.). If the item belongs to another workspace, you'll be asked to confirm before switching workspaces.
- Mark as read — Opened notifications are marked as read and the unread badge updates.
Push notifications (mobile app)
If you use the Forge mobile app, your coach can also send you personalized push notifications:
- Progress nudges — When a concrete next step is waiting in your coaching plan, your coach may send a personalized message inviting you to move forward. Tapping the notification opens the conversation, and the coach picks up right on that opportunity.
- Re-engagement — After a period of inactivity, your coach may send a welcome-back message, also personalized based on your recent exchanges.
The frequency of these notifications is deliberately limited (a few per week at most), and they back off on their own if you don't respond to them.
