Overview
Forge offers several ways to practice and progress beyond the conversation itself: the Action Lab to practice in realistic situations, coaching missions to structure your progress, and coach news to stay informed.
The Action Lab
The Action Lab is a hands-on practice activity offered by your coach during your conversations. Your coach plays a role (a counterpart, a scenario) and you practice by interacting with it, like a role-play.
- Role-play scenario — The coach plays a character suited to your practice goal.
- Turn-by-turn evaluation — Your responses are assessed throughout the scenario.
- Debrief and takeaways — At the end, the coach gives you a debrief: strengths, areas to improve, and tips to progress.
The Action Lab is being rolled out progressively (beta); availability may vary depending on your coach and workspace.
Coaching missions
Coaching missions are targeted activities that help you progress step by step. They may be offered to you to work on a specific skill or to put into practice something covered in conversation, giving a concrete framework to your progress.
Coach news
The coach news section gathers the latest information relevant to your learning. Some news items can turn into coaching missions, turning information into an opportunity to practice.
