Overview
Connect Zoom to Forge to let your AI coach access real-time information about your Zoom meetings, recordings, and participants during conversations.
Connection type: Coach tool (MCP)
Authentication method: Zoom OAuth
Connecting Zoom
- Go to Settings > Tools.
- In the Coach tools section, click Connect next to Zoom.
- A Zoom authentication window opens — sign in with the Zoom account whose data you want to share with the coach.
- Grant Forge access to your Zoom account (meetings, recordings, participants — depending on the requested scopes).
- The connection is confirmed in the Settings > Tools interface.
If you run into issues during connection, visit the Forge support page.
Usage
Looking Up Past Meeting Information
Use case: Ask your coach to summarize or retrieve information about a recent Zoom meeting — agenda, attendees, available recordings.
Prerequisites:
- An active Zoom account with existing meetings.
- The connected organizer or participant must have access to the meeting data in Zoom.
- For recordings: Zoom cloud recording must be enabled on your account.
Checking Upcoming Meetings
Use case: Ask the coach about your upcoming Zoom meetings to prepare an agenda, identify participants, or plan training content related to a meeting topic.
Prerequisites: The connected Zoom account must belong to the user whose meetings are relevant. Meetings must be created in Zoom (not only in an external calendar).
Accessing Cloud Recordings
Use case: The coach can search and reference Zoom cloud recordings to help you find the context of a past session or identify specific content within a recording.
Prerequisites:
- Zoom cloud recording enabled on your Zoom plan (Pro, Business, or Enterprise).
- The coach accesses recording metadata (title, date, duration, link) — it does not play or read the audio/video content directly.
The coach uses these tools automatically when your question requires Zoom data. You can also explicitly ask it to query Zoom.
Removing the Connection
- Go to Settings > Tools.
- Find the Zoom connection and click Delete (trash icon).
- Confirm the deletion in the confirmation dialog.
Consequences of removal:
- The coach immediately loses access to Zoom data — it can no longer query your meetings, recordings, or participants.
- Ongoing conversations are not interrupted, but any request involving Zoom will be ignored or flagged as unavailable.
- Data: Forge does not permanently store any Zoom data — the integration works in real time and no copy of your data is retained after the connection is removed.
- You can reconnect Zoom at any time by repeating the connection process.
Revoking access on the Zoom side: In addition to removing the connection in Forge, you can revoke the authorization granted to the Forge app directly from your Zoom account: zoom.us > Advanced > Installed Apps, then click Uninstall next to Forge. This ensures the OAuth access is fully revoked.
