Usage
Enriching a Coach's Knowledge Base
Use case: Use Zoom Docs to add procedures, meeting notes, knowledge bases, or any collaborative document authored in Zoom to a coach's knowledge base.
Prerequisites:
- An active Zoom account with access to Zoom Docs.
- Documents must be shared with the account used during OAuth authentication.
- Documents must be accessible (not private) from the connected account.
Automatic Synchronization
Use case: When your Zoom Docs change (new content, edits), Forge automatically syncs updates so your coach's knowledge base stays current.
Prerequisites: The connection must remain active (the OAuth token must not have expired). You can trigger a manual sync from Settings > Tools by clicking the refresh icon.
Folder Tree Navigation
Use case: Imported documents are displayed in the content management interface as a folder tree mirroring your Zoom Docs structure. You can expand and collapse folders to precisely select which documents to include in a coach.
Prerequisites: Active Zoom Docs connection in your Forge space.
Removing the Connection
- Go to Settings > Tools.
- Find the Zoom Docs connection and click Delete (trash icon).
- Confirm the deletion in the confirmation dialog.
Consequences of removal:
- Documents imported from Zoom Docs are removed from the knowledge base of all coaches that used them and deleted from the Forge index.
- Ongoing conversations are not immediately affected, but the coach will no longer be able to cite those documents in future sessions.
- Data: Content indexed by Forge from your Zoom Docs is deleted from Forge's servers upon disconnection. The original documents remain intact in your Zoom space.
- You can reconnect Zoom Docs at any time by repeating the connection process.
Revoking access on the Zoom side: In addition to removing the connection in Forge, you can revoke the authorization granted to the Forge app directly from your Zoom account: zoom.us > Advanced > Installed Apps, then click Uninstall next to Forge. This ensures the OAuth access is fully revoked.
