Connection type: Content provider
Authentication method: Google OAuth
How to Connect Google Drive
- Go to Settings > Tools.
- In the Content providers section, click Connect next to Google Drive.
- Authenticate with your Google account and authorize access.
- Select the folders or files to sync.
- Synchronization starts automatically.
Usage with Coaches
Once connected, Google Drive files are available as a content source when configuring a coach. Content is synced automatically.
Manage the Connection
- Sync status — Check the last sync time.
- Refresh — Trigger a manual sync.
- Edit — Change connection settings.
Remove the Connection
- Go to Settings > Tools.
- Find the Google Drive connection and click Delete (trash icon).
- Confirm the deletion in the confirmation dialog.
What happens when you disconnect:
- Files imported from Google Drive are removed from the knowledge base of all coaches that were using them and are deleted from the Forge index.
- Ongoing conversations are not immediately affected, but the coach will no longer be able to cite these documents in future sessions.
- Data: Content indexed by Forge from your Google Drive files is deleted from Forge servers upon disconnection. The original files remain untouched in your Google Drive.
- You can reconnect Google Drive at any time by repeating the connection procedure.
Revoking access from Google: In addition to removing the connection in Forge, you can revoke the authorization granted to the Forge app from your Google account: myaccount.google.com > Security > Third-party apps with account access, then remove Forge's access.
